Jakarta 2014

November 2014 was my first time to step on the reddish brown soils of Jakarta, Indonesia.  I traveled there together with my manager from my day job for a 3-day business trip.  I am sharing to you now what I have seen in Jakarta as captured through my sister's Sony digital camera.  Apologizing for some grainy takes. Enjoy.
I did begun collecting souvenir spoons from my travels abroad some few years ago.  The spoon above though, did not go home with me.    <F.Y.I. - a collector of spoons is called a cochlearist via HERE>

The hotel where we stayed: Swiss-Belhotel in Mangga Besar.
BATIK is the traditional fabric of Indonesia.  It is the country's most developed art form.  The word batik is thought to be derived from the word 'ambatik' which when translated means 'a cloth with little dots'.
