Sigh Styles Concept for Sunstar: Black & White for S/S 2014

The world was created round and filled with bright, lively colors and ephemeral shades and tints. But as they say, like repels like and the opposites attract. The intensity of the contrast is all that really counts.   SighStyles  again, is featured in Sunstar - Shopping Bag section entitled: OPPOSITES ATTRACT, highlighting the eternal black and white color cocktail. I have always been head over heels with black and white , so much so, that I wanted to share my personal favorite to the fashion-savvy audience.  I know for one that with my sporadic contribution in Sunstar will be one great avenue to express my paramount fondness of this B&W palette.  . I have a number of late-night sleeps in pursuing this black and white concept for the local newspaper.  It started in the later months of last year.  While I was browsing over for the fall /winter trends, I was the happiest when Black and White was one of the trends of the seasons.  So the p...

Sigh Styles Concept for Sunstar: Botanical Print for S/S 2014

There is no Spring season here in the Philippines, but Summer? Yes, we do have it!  Fashion-wise the two seasons: Spring/Summer do go together.  I was at the verge of conceptualizing and reviving cyEcle - my 2011 online shop via blogspot then.  But this time, I needed a more dynamic and hyper-shopper type of audience.  So I re-launched that online clothing shop thru  OLX.Ph (familiar with it?), and for the first time I also learned how to create a page in facebook.   With my on and off contributions with Sunstar newspaper, which may have possibly gathered more audience for the re-launch, I suggested a fashion trend -BOTANICAL PRINT - that best fit for Spring-Summer seasons and did receive instant approval for another feature.   Sunstar is always entitled to create its own interpretation of the trend.  The feature was out on May 2, 2014 still at Shopping Bag section of the newspaper.   It was entitled PICK FLOWERS , in time for the ...

SighStyles for Sunstar Concept: Graduation Dresses and Graduation Look

Here's another feature in Sunstar newspaper on March 14, 2014. I was contributing again for the local newspaper and this time, since it is March, I was tasked to prepare a photo shoot for GRADUATION DAY.  What would be the most appropriate dresses and make-up to wear on this momentous day of the graduates' life (not to mention the proud parents and loved ones)? I am always excited to work on anything about fashion styling.  My brain tends to exhaust what is left after a day's hard work from my day job for the sake of the art and maybe, science, of styling.  So it is during my free time where I have the time to insert my fashion styling imaginations.   The following four photos made it on print. When I was told to prepare "appropriate" dresses for graduation day, the first thing I thought of is the LBD - little black dress.  I know black is mostly worn for night parties, but since it's for graduation ceremonies that you will be attending, ...

Sigh Styles for Sunstar - Promoting Skin Whitening Products of Beautiful Horizon

Heard of BEAUTIFUL HORIZON ?  It's the newest direct selling company in town and originated from the Queen City of the South - Cebu.  Launched on October 19, 2013, this direct selling company has catered the intelligent buyers of beauty products from color cosmetics, personal care, skin care and facial care.   Beautiful Horizon also offers food supplements, laundry and toilet products.  This DS company also provides new products to the baby and kids market! I organized a photo shoot for Beautiful Horizon , primarily for the Skin Whitening line. The shoot was scheduled on October 15, 2013.   Remember this day? This was one of the days that all Visayans dreaded.  The 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Bohol and affected the neighboring islands, and Cebu was not an exemption.  Our call time was 7:30 a.m., of course, I was the most punctual since I was the organizer.  And everyone else was late because of the earthquake.  Thank God no o...
